1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Pilot Logbook Scanner processes information when you scan, review, correct, and export paper aviation logbook records. We do not sell your personal information or use your logbook content for advertising.

2. Information the app processes
Logbook data may include photographs and cropped portions of paper pages, dates, aircraft and airport identifiers, flight-time entries, instructor notes, remarks, corrections, approval status, page totals, and exported CSV files. Purchase information is handled by Apple. Pilot Logbook Scanner receives purchase status and product identifiers needed to provide purchased scan-page credits, but does not receive or store your complete payment-card number. Limited technical information may be processed for security and reliability, including app-verification results, request timing, error messages, processing status, and cache information.
3. Camera and photos
Camera and photo-library access is used only when you choose to photograph, import, or save logbook pages. The app does not require microphone or speech-recognition access.
4. Processing providers
Google Cloud services support the secure backend, temporary file handling, processing jobs, and AI-assisted extraction and verification. Apple provides app distribution, device permissions, and in-app purchase processing. Information sent to a provider is limited to what is needed for the feature you requested and is not authorized for advertising on our behalf.
5. Storage, caching, and retention
Approved entries, captured-page references, edits, and import progress may remain on your device until you delete them, start the import over, or remove the app. Uploaded page images may be stored temporarily so processing can continue if the app is closed and are deleted after the processing job completes. Extracted results and limited job information may be retained for recovery, security, troubleshooting, and reuse of cached results. Caching avoids repeating the same paid processing request.
6. Sharing
Information is shared with the providers described above only to deliver, secure, maintain, and support the features you request, or when required by law. CSV files are shared only when you choose an export or share destination. A third-party logbook application that receives a file is governed by its own privacy policy.
7. Your choices and deletion
You may deny camera or photo access in iPhone Settings, although scanning and importing will not work. Start Over permanently removes the active import from the app after confirmation. Removing the app deletes locally stored data from that device. For a privacy or server-data deletion request, contact support and include only the information needed to locate the request.
8. Security
Pilot Logbook Scanner uses encrypted network connections, app-verification controls, and a secured backend so private service credentials are not embedded in the iPhone app. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
9. Children
Pilot Logbook Scanner is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact support so the information can be reviewed and deleted.
10. Changes and contact
